Zum Album
Die Songs wurden aufgenommen zwischen März und April 1987.
Auf der CD-Version erschien zusätzlich der Titelsong der Anfang 1988 veröffentlichten EP Master Dik.
Es war das erste Album der Band, das in einem deutschen Musikmagazin am Ende des Jahres in einer Bestenliste erschien (Spex-Jahrescharts 1987), während Pitchfork im Jahr 2002 das Album auf Platz 14 der Top 100 Albums of the 1980s wählte (Platz eins belegte in dieser Liste der Nachfolger Daydream Nation).
