Biographie
Der gebürtige Augsburger XNDL trat erstmals in den Neunzigern als DJ/Turntablist und Veranstalter im Rahmen der Formation OTM in Erscheinung. Später gründete er Offbeat Networks und das Indie-Labels Subversiv*rec.
Seit 2002 agiert XNDL vorwiegend als Produzent für internationale Abstrakt/Elektronik-HipHop-Projekte wie z.B. Gunporn, Rushya und zahlreiche andere Künstlern aus den unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Bereichen. Als Solo-Künstler brachte er es bis dato auf mehr als 10 Veröffentlichungen auf internationalen Labels wie Oktave (JAP), Ponowai Flora (USA), Project Mooncircle (GER) und natürlich dem eigenen Label Subversiv*Recordings.
Sein musikalischer Bekanntschafts- und Wirkungsgrad konzentriert sich seit dem Beginn an auf den japanischen, den US-Markt und die Benelux-Staaten, welche über eine vergleichsweise große und aktive Szene in dem Abstract-HipHop-Bereich verfügen. Dadurch konnte er bis heute zahlreiche internationale Auftritte und kleinere Tourneen durch Europa verbuchen.
XNDLs Produktionen umfassen die unterschiedlichsten Einflüsse und Stile von Illbient, Dub und Skinhead Reggae bzw. Ragga, Instrumental-HipHop bis Brokenbeats, Elektro, Raggacore/Breakcore und Glitch.
XNDL ist Mitbegründer und Initiator zahlreicher Elektronik-Veranstaltungen wie z.B. die „Confusion“ oder „Subversion“ Party-Serien, welche bis über die Grenzen von Augsburg hinaus bekannt und erfolgreich sind. Zudem zählt er sich für unzählige Artworks für Covers, Flyers, Shirts oder diverse Webprojekte verantwortlich.
Neben seinem musikalischen Schaffen ist XNDL seit 2007 als zweifach-diplomierter Manager im E-Commerce/Online-Bereich in der freien Wirtschaft tätig, was letztendlich auch die Schließung des Hauptlabels Subversiv*Recordings, Gründung eines kleineren Nachfolgeprojekts mit dem Namen Cognitive*Defect und eine Verschiebung der zeitlichen und persönlichen Prioritäten zur Ursache hatte.
