Bandgeschichte
Die Band wird 2001 gegründet und verbringt einen Urlaub in San Diego. Dementsprechend klingt ihr Debütalbum "So Much For The City" nicht besonders irisch, sondern sehr kalifornisch. Die Band hat mit dem Debüt schon ihren Durchbruch, denn das Album landet auf Platz 3 der britischen Charts und wird für den Mercury Music Prize nominiert. Das zweite Album "Let's Bottle Bohemia", das 2004 erscheint und von Dave Sardy produziert wird, klingt ähnlich und ist immer noch sehr erfolgreich. 2006 nimmt die Band mit Produzent Tony Hoffer (der auch für das Debüt verantwortlich war) in Vancouver ihr drittes Album "Teenager" auf, das im Sommer 2007 erscheint.
