Musik variiert die Erlebnishorizonte. In ihrer substanziellsten Form ist sie kein Klang und kein Geräusch, sondern ein verfehlter Ton. Wer mit Musik berühmt, sogar weltberühmt werden will, der sollte auch heute noch dem Rat von Karlheinz Stockhausen folgen, der in diesem Fall dazu riet, sich soweit zu spezialisieren, dass man über Jahre hinweg die gleiche Sache auf unterschiedliche Weise macht, in seinem Beispiel über fünf Jahre hinweg nur Stücke aus Snaredrums generieren.[1] In Zeiten der Multitude gilt frei nach Gilles Deleuze: „ Mit seinen Neurosen, Affektionen, Perzeptionen, Meinungen macht man keine Kunst. Der Künstler ist kein Kranker, sondern ein Arzt.“[2] Ansich gibt es nur eine Anforderung an die Musik – sie soll sexy sein.
