Bandgeschichte
Craig Finn zieht von Minneapolis nach New York und gründet dort 2000 The Hold Steady. 2004 erscheint das Debütalbum "Almost Killed Me" bei Frenchkiss Records und die Band landet auf dem Cover des New Yorker Szenemagazins "Village Voice" (was sonst kaum einer Band gelingt). Ein Jahr später folgt das Konzeptalbum "Separation Sunday". 2006 lobt Pitchfork das dritte Album "Boys And Girls In America", das bei Vagrant erscheint und von John Agnello produziert wird, in höchsten Tönen.
