Biographie
Bevor Marnie Stern sich dazu entschließt, sich als Musikerin zu versuchen, studiert sie zunächst Journalismus. Erst mit etwa 21 entscheidet sie sich dafür,das Gitarrespielen, dass sie für kurze Zeit in der Kindheit begonnen hatte, richtig zu lernen. Nach dem Studium verdient sie in verschiedenen Minijobs Geld, während sie weiterhin Songs schreibt.
Bald kommt die Sängerin bei Kill Rock Stars unter, auf dem 2007 ihr Debütalbum In Advance of the Broken Arm erscheint, das ihr schnell die Aufmerksamkeit wichtiger Musikpublikationen einbringt. Außerdem tourt sie sowohl in den USA als auch Großbritannien.
Am 7. Oktober 2008 erscheint mit This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That bereits die zweite Platte der Musikerin.
