Bandgeschichte
Devonte Hynes war bis zu deren Auflösung Mitglied der Electro-Punks Test-Icicles. Unter dem Namen Lightspeed Champion nimmt Hynes gänzlich andere Musik auf, die sich am ehesten noch im Singer/Songwriter-Genre verorten lässt.
Im Oktober 2009 hat er seine Fans dazu aufgerufen ein von ihm geschriebenes Stück klassischer Musik einzuspielen mit welchen er seinen Lieblinskomponisten Tribut zollen will. Dafür lädt Dev nach und nach die Noten einzelner Instrumente auf seiner Homepage hoch, sodass seine Fans die jeweiligen Parts einspielen und ihm zuschicken können.[1]
