Bandgeschichte
Bereits mit 17 veröffentlichte Laura Marling ihre erste Single, ein Jahr später folgte ihr Debütalbum. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt war Marling noch Mitglied bei der Band Noah & The Whale, beschloss aber Mitte 2008 sich auf ihre Solokarriere zu konzentrieren. Das für den Mercury Music Prize nominierte Debütalbum produzierte Charlie Fink, Frontmann ihrer früheren Band Noah & The Whale. Live wird sie dabei von Mumford & Sons als backing band unterstützt, Marcus Mumford wird als Lebensabschnittspartner Nachfolger von Charlie Fink. Im Jahr 2010 veröffentlicht sie ihr zweites Album, wird vom NME auf Platz 1 der "Cool List 2010" gewählt und nimmt in den US-Studios von Jack White eine Single mit zwei Coverversionen auf, die auf Whites "Third Man Records" Label veröffentlicht wird. Mit Ethan Johns nimmt sie 2011 ihr drittes Album "A Creature I Don't Know" auf.
